Humanitarian data and decision-support tools.

Humaniverse is a collection of data packages and decision-support tools for people working to help people.

A practical place to start

Humanitarian work raises questions about people, places, risks and methods. Humaniverse brings together resources that can help you investigate those questions, with clear routes to the data, documentation and code.

You can browse the full catalogue if you know what you’re looking for, or start with a task for a small set of suggested resources.

Made and maintained by people

Humaniverse resources are maintained by their project contributors. Several packages were developed by analysts at the British Red Cross; individual project READMEs credit their authors and contributors.

The Humaniverse GitHub organisation hosts the public source repositories. Package builds and documentation are also available through Humaniverse on R Universe.

Useful context for human judgment

These resources support analysis. They do not select humanitarian priorities or replace local knowledge and professional judgment. Coverage, methods and maturity differ between projects; each listing links to the source so you can assess whether it fits your work.

Help improve the collection

Spotted an incorrect description, a missing resource or a broken link? Suggest a resource or correction on GitHub. For a bug or contribution to a tool, use that project’s repository and follow its contribution guidance.

This website is maintained as structured content alongside its source. You can inspect the website repository and propose an update.
